Commercial Litigation
The Firm frequently enforces the rights of its clients and/or defends those rights in the Courts and/or specialized administrative agencies having jurisdiction over specific matters. Our attorneys are experienced in resolution of issues arising in a number of practice areas and have a wealth of experience in negotiating, mediating, or arbitrating such matters. We regularly try cases in all California and Federal Courts and handle related issues on appeal where necessary. |

Regulatory/Energy Law
The Firm represents energy providers and end-use customers in virtually every area of regulatory activity, including but not limited to, administrative rate and rule-making proceedings, administrative and civil enforcement proceedings, and litigation related to activities of regulated enterprises. We represent a myriad of large and small utility clients in obtaining regulatory authority and relief from regulatory action, and represent entities in merger, acquisition, control and financing transactions of varying complexities. The firm has been successful in obtaining legislative solutions to client problems when necessary. We practice before the California Public Utilities Commission, engage in post-Commission appellate practice before the California and Federal Courts, and other state and federal agencies. |

Real Estate
The Firm represent buyers, sellers, developers, design professionals, contractors, landlords, property managers and tenants in connection with the purchase, sale, development, design, construction, leasing, management and sale of commercial, retail, industrial, mixed use and residential properties. We represent clients in matters concerning personal residences, rental investments, office buildings, warehousing, airports and restaurants. In addition, we are experienced in negotiating and resolving real estate contract and lease disputes, construction defects, mechanic’s liens and other real property issues. |

Transportation
The Firm represents shippers, carriers, independent owner-operators, specialized package delivery carriers, household goods movers, freight forwarders, logistics companies, passenger operators, and those engaged in rail and warehousing operations. We drafted and were instrumental in obtaining legislation which de-regulated the trucking industry, first in California and then nationally. We are fully conversant with legal issues that now confront a transportation industry operating in a de-regulated or partially deregulated environment. |
